In the r/instructionaldesign community’s Discord server in 2021, an instructional designer who was new to the industry asked the server if there was any sort of L&D hackathon or design jam that she could join.
We realized there wasn’t. So we decided to make our own.

Mark has had a passion for educational media ever since he was a high school student using Khan Academy. He believes effective elearning is for everyone and has worked higher education for nearly a decade, primarily helping instructors design more pedagogically effective media.
